Why so many peoples are missing out on free money

If you struggle with debt or need more money you can start by not missing out on free money. Many people don’t realize that you can easily get cash back on all the money they spend online and sometimes in stores. Get the Ebates or Swagbucks and earn easy cash back through their chrome add-ons without ever having to think about it.

So which site to choose. They both have their advantages. Swagbucks offers bonuses and many other ways to earn money. While Ebates offers a bigger sign on bonus and faster cash back, although they only pay at predetermined times and if you have reached the limit. I personally use both and like to check who is offering more cash back at any given time.

One of my favorite online and in-store shopping apps is Ibotta. They offer a huge number of rebates and often even have “any item” offers.

How Ibotta works is you activate whatever rebates you are thinking of using then after you shop you simply scan in the receipt using your phone camera. Then select the offers you bought and scan the barcodes if prompted to, using your phone’s camera. It quite easy and some stores even let you link your store card requiring you to only activate the offers and automatically receive the money in your account after you shop. Their bonuses are definitely worth looking out for I have made an incredible amount of extra just from the bonuses.

If you join using the referral code “fooebay” without the quotes you will get $10 and I will get $5.

4 Single Serve Coffee Makers Worth a Second Look

This post was originally posted on www.fivesecondtech.com

We all love things to be fast and easy these days. There are many great options for coffee. Currently, I use a Keurig 2.0 or a French Press for Single Serve Coffee, and when I want to brew a pot, I have a standard 12 cup Mr. Coffee Drip coffee maker.

1. Keurig 2.0

There are a number of options out there and K-Cups are readily available in many different flavors. I currently use the Keurig 575 while quite expensive offers a lot of nice features. First, it has a touch screen interface which allows you to select a number of brew sizes ranging from 4 to 12 oz. Second it allows you to dispense specified volumes of hot water on demand. This makes it perfect for the office. If you want to make a bowl of noodles or some oatmeal its very easy and also allow you to make regular tea bags, so there is no need to buy the more expensive tea pods.

As far as coffee selection goes, they have some good options. My favorite flavor is the Starbucks Sumatra Roast. This is very dark and has a nice strong coffee flavor. Another favorite is the Green Mountain Dark Magic also a very dark flavor. If you’re looking for a lighter roast, I like Seattle’s Best this is a smooth, easy drinking coffee.

2. Nespresso

The Nespresso coffee system makes some of the best coffee of any single serve system, but this comes at a very high price. The coffee pods are difficult to find so most people will have to order them and they are quite expensive. The coffee comes out very strong, I will often brew a disk twice in the same large cup to dilute it a little bit. This model also doesn’t have nearly the selection of Keurig you can’t  make hot chocolate or other drinks, but I think it does a better job at coffee the thing its meant to do.

My favorite flavor is the Odacio which is a dark roast coffee. It’s dark but also very smooth and not too bitter it sort of reminds me of an Americano. I have never tried their espresso pods, but I hear the Altissio is good.

3. Verismo

The Verismo system gets rather mixed reviews. A lot of people seem to have their units fail with the biggest complaint being inconsistent brew size. Overall the system seems great and is an excellent option if you love Starbuck’s coffee. Obviously, you better like Starbuck’s coffee because you are limited to their selection of pods. One feature I like is that you can get a Milk Frother and in about 3 minutes have great steamed milk, or you can use their milk pods which are faster and still offer a great product, though only come in whole milk. If you’re interested in the frother, you should definitely look for the starter kit which includes it as well as some coffee pods although currently out of stock.

The Pike Place Roast works great with this unit for coffee or misto, If you are interested in espresso pods, their Espresso Roast is great and makes wonderful lattes and cappuccinos.

4. Tassimo

Last on my list is the Tassimo system. While it’s a good system, I feel like it has fallen behind the other systems. It does offer a lot of great Gevalia Disks. The biggest benefit this system has is that it can make some fancy drinks using the coffee and creamer discs. The quality is good, and the selection is good, but you are still stuck ordering most of the flavors since they aren’t stocked in many stores.

They offer some very unusual flavors such as Oreo Cookie and Milka. This gives a lot of other options when you’re looking for extra variety.

Starbucks New Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino

I decided to try the new Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino. Seeing as I love mint flavored coffee and mochas, I thought I would love this. While it was definitely good, I thought it could use a little bit stronger mint flavor, and the chocolate was overpowering. I think anyone that thinks the regular peppermint syrup is too strong will like this drink.  I did like that it wasn’t grainy though and was quite refreshing, perfect for the warmer weather. If your interested in trying this drink now is a great time since they have half-priced Fraps from 3-6pm. Normally, I am not even the biggest fan of Fraps (I usually prefer hot drinks at that price) but at half price, it’s definitely worthwhile.

Burn off that Frappuccino While Paying it off

Using an app called Pact, you perform healthy activities and earn money for doing them. The only drawback is that you have to commit to completing activities and if you fail you lose money.  This app gives you about 18 cents for each workout you complete with a maximum of 1 per a day, about 5 cents per a vegetable or fruit photo that get approved limit 5 per day and about 7 cents per a day for logging your day’s food using MyFitnessPal.

I would recommend only committing to an amount you can guarantee that you will complete. The minimum cost is $5 dollars per a missed activity this could be huge especially if you really over commit yourself. I’ve actually managed to earn quite a bit of money from this app, and it encourages me to take a bike ride to work rather than driving since that can count as an activity if it’s long enough. One great feature this app has is that it also syncs with Apple Health so if you hit 10,000 steps in one day that will count as an activity. There are also many other apps that can sync including Run Keeper and Map My Run.

Overall this is a great app. It’s often criticized because it is easy to lose money. Over my year using it, I have never lost any money from the app. It has been a great source of extra income with minimum effort. You won’t get rich, but you may get healthier making that worthwhile all on its own.

Product Review: Starbucks Caramel Latte K-CUPs

I have purchased Starbucks Caramel Latte K-CUPs a couple of times now. They are great considering how much cheaper they are than a regular Starbucks latte from their store but still have some significant differences. First, they are not as foamy as a real latte. They do form a slight foam which is nice, but it may not be what you expect. Second, they have tiny little pellets that stick to the side of the cup. Other than that the flavor is great.

As far as taste goes, they have a great mild coffee flavor, nice sweet caramel and the powdered milk is very natural seeming. The caramel is authentic feeling, but there is no drizzle like you would get from a coffee shop, although I think there is more caramel flavor to make up for it.  Overall I have to say its a great product.

Now for the cost. Since these come in packages of 6 and cost the same as any other Starbucks K-Cup, they are about twice as expensive. Right now there are some coupons available and are frequently on sale at grocery store. For me I find K-Cups to be relatively pricey in the first place and usually drink other forms of coffee, I find this to be a pretty good deal when they are on sale for a sweet afternoon treat, but wouldn’t drink these for my main coffee.
